Gaming software company Digitain plans to open a tech hub for developing companies in the Armenian capital Yerevan, the company announced in a Facebook post on October 10 following the WCIT2019 tech conference in Armenia.
The hub, to be named DigiTown, is intended to stimulate the growth of the IT startup ecosystem and ICT sector of Armenia, the company said.
Digitain already has 1,500 employees in Armenia and will be based at the new hub, which is being built near Yerevan airport.
"What we are offering at WCIT is one year free of charge in order for the diaspora, for people from outside Armenia to come back to their home town. There’s a new generation, not just a generation by age, a generation of ideas. Come and be part of Armenia," said business development manager Seba Nader, speaking in a video posted on the company’s Facebook page,
